Ready for Some Moves?

Breakdancing and Hip-Hop Training in a Group

Breakdance and hip hop, which originated in the Bronx, New York, combine dynamic movement, rhythm, and creativity. These dance styles help children and young people improve coordination, body awareness, and confidence – while having a lot of fun. Together, participants learn choreographies or even develop short performances as a group, which they then present to others. This encourages teamwork, shared responsibility, and working toward a common goal. Performing in front of an audience can also help reduce stage fright and build self-esteem, giving children and young people the chance to grow in confidence through positive performance experiences. The program is offered either as a one-off crash course or as a five-week workshop.
