Our wonderful classic: Since 2019, BSFK, in cooperation with KG Wanderfalke, has been offering stand-up paddleboarding for children aged eight to 15 from Essen’s children’s homes. Our coaches, Silke Niehues and Michael Husemann, have been part of the fantastic BSFK family for just as long. In September, we held our first full-day event for the children of the Essen-based Fürstin-Franziska-Christine Foundation. New to our program: skimboarding, essentially surfing on flat water. The introductory workshop for the kids was led by the two European champions, Lydia and Semjon Szillat of Skimhomies.
